Mission opportunities abound; literally in our own backyard. Those small hills you see out in back of the church are not from industrious moles. They are acually put there on purpose as a small scale motocross track. It’s used to teach kids to ride motocross. Motocross is a motorcycle race on a dirt track with a series of obstacles.

Forest Park is deeply involved with FCA/MX (the Fellowship Of Christian Athletes - Motocross). In the past few years Ronnie Caswell, our pastor, has served as chaplain at races all over the region.

This past Friday, Forest Park was host to an FCA presentation by some top regional racers and some of the FCA race team.

Motocross is enjoying an unprecedented popularity along with the wave of other “extreme” sports and FCA offers young riders camps and clinics with some of the top riders in the country, but the mission of FCA is:

“To present to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.”
